As is already known at a global level that Raf Simon has left the creative director post at Dior in October 2015. So, in the view of this, during the Dior couture week’s first show in Paris, everyone is of the thought that who would be the next beneficiary of this exclusive brand.
Different people gave different names regarding that including Alber Elbaz,Phoebe Philo and Olivier. However, on the top of all of these names, Sarah Burton is thought to be the prime focus in this regard, who is also the creative director of Alexander McQueen’s presently.
It is significant to know that Sarah Burton has been working with McQueen since 1997 and started her work as a personal assistant to the founder of this brand, Lee McQueen’s. However, after McQueen’s death in the year 2010, she took the charge of this brand. In the view of this, if she would be offered a top position in Dior, then extensive discussions would not be doubted as Dior atelier is in Paris and the family of Burton lives is London.
In addition to this, Dior talked about taking the supervision of its pre, couture and ready-to-wear autumn/winter 2016 collections through its in-house designing team, whereas, the allocated person for its spring/summer 2017 displays is still to be declared.
